Online Qualifier
We will not hold an online qualifier for the 2020-2021 competition year
We are so excited for this year's K-12 InVenture Prize Competition! Online Qualifier submissions for the 2021 Competition will open in February 2021 and an upload link will be sent out so teachers can submit a video, abstract, and other documents for each team's final project.
Participation in the State Finals depends on the Online Qualifier. Spots for the Online Qualifier will be allocated based on the number of participants at your school. Please see the chart below to determine the amount of teams that can participate in the Online Qualifier based on the number of students participating:

***If your school has more than 300 students participating, please let us know and we will work with you to determine the appropriate number of teams.
Approximately 100 teams will be invited to State Finals at Georgia Tech on March 11, 2021. The team registration cost for State Finals is $100 and is separate from the $75 fee for participation in Mock Pitch Day and the Online Qualifier.

What do you need to judge?
Just yourself and your phone or other web-enabled device. *The app RocketJudge will be used to evaluate projects. Please bring a hand-held web-enabled device (phone or tablet) to use for judging.*
Rubric/ Judging Criteria:
Student Projects will be judged by industry experts and Georgia Tech community members. Judging will take place electronically. Judges will rate the projects in terms of :

Teachers need to upload:
1. Project Title
2. A short abstract of the project ~ Maximum of 1000 characters including spaces!
3. 3 to 4 minute YouTube video of the students presenting their project
4. ONE PDF of pictures, powerpoint slides, etc. (Must be less than 10MB)
The projects do NOT need to be complete and your prototype does NOT have to be done!! PLEASE be sure to mark the video as public, or else the judges will not be able to view the video from your link. Teachers will need to provide an email address in order to receive the feedback. Please check your spam folders or have an alternate email ready if you don’t receive your feedback on time.

How to upload videos to YouTube Guide
1. Sign in to YouTube.
2. At the top right, select Create a video or post and then Upload video.
3. Select the file you’d like to upload.
4. Name the file & mark, "Yes, it's made for kids."
5. The 3rd step: "Visibility" has a drop down option to make the video public.
