Welcome to InVenture Curriculum!
The K-12 InVenture website contains all lessons and videos posted by week. The Teacher tab features a Teacher Timeline and Pacing Guide that contains a brief summary of each task for that day. The first four weeks of the unit are focused on direct instruction to prepare students with information about each stage of the Design Thinking Process. The timeline enables completion of in-class activities associated with the unit by the December break. Participation in the GT InVenture competition is encouraged but not required.
Log Book
We have also been provided an InVentor's Log Book and K-12 InVenture Rubric to share. This provides an approximate timeline and some guidance. Keep in mind that although the K-12 InVenture Prize does NOT require a log book, the National Invention Competition (NIC) does.

More About the Curriculum
Our grade school curriculum was originally authored by elementary school teachers from Cobb County for their gifted 4th and 5th grade classes. Our high school curriculum was originally authored by high school science teachers and is aligned with Georgia Standards in Science, Math, STEM, and even Language Arts. They have shared their curriculum with Georgia Tech so that all may benefit from it.
Are you a new to InVenture or a prospective teacher looking to implement a new school competition? We've compiled a short Host Your Own Competition packet to help planning and brainstorming. Please attend a Teacher Workshop to meet the K-12 InVenture Team and other InVenture Teachers as we go through the curriculum and competitions!
