Aya is a recent graduate from Georgia Tech's School of Industrial Design and competed at the 2021 Georgia Tech InVenture Prize as one of six finalists with her patent-pending design, The Delta Jacket. Aya sought to find solutions in the space of the Jordan Refugee Crisis and invented The Delta Jacket to improve bedding for individuals who experience homelessness. The Delta Jacket is a reversible jacket that users can inflate by blowing air, which can then act as an air mattress or for added insulation as a jacket.
